BACKGROUND

SAWHO is an international non profit organization based in Washington State, USA and Mwanza City, Tanzania, East Africa. Also the organization is open to work around the world to change the world. The organization works with governments toward promoting sustainable livelihood and economic growth. 

Community development is  being hindered by many problems to include among others are gender based violence, climatic and environmental hazard / calamities, poverty and disease. 

 

The organization established to fight against humanitarian crisis, poverty, and financial setbacks, environmental and climatic disasters  so as to have sustainable life status and eradicate dependence in the community. The organization is hand in hand with mult- stakeholders in community development intervention and social welfare to archive its objectives to save the public interest and build the foundation of stable society that value human right, sustainable development and socio economic growth.

(a)  To advocate to the community for Human Rights protection and Good Governance

(b)  To promote for Gender Empowerment and equality.

(c)   To facilitate for climatic and environmental resilience program and natural resource management

(d)  Promoting entrepreneurship and business development for the community

(e)  To facilitate the conduct of research and information generation on community development activities

(f)    To empower health sustainability and health services improvement to ensure community’s better health.

(g)  To strengthen Education development and accessibility.

(h)  To empower development and maintenance of water sanitation and hygiene projects
